For more than 20 years the highly skilled staff of the Scientific Research and Production Enterprise NPP "BIOTECHPROGRESS" have been involved in water treatment and wastewater treatment. In this time interval the scope of design, production and range of provided products and services has been considerably extended. Besides, automated design has been introduced.
The main activities of the Company are: calculation, designing, manufacturing and putting in operation the equipment for the following applications:

• producing of drinking domestic water by treating sea and brackish water and water from different sources: open water bodies, wells etc.
• tertiary treatment of tap water in accordance with recommendations of WHO
• producing of high- quality water for food industry
• producing of high- purity water for pharmacy
• producing of ultra pure water for electronics
• waste water treatment
• liquid radioactive waste water treatment
• producing of softened and desalinated water for boilers, nuclear and thermal Power Stations

The Company provides service and technical consultations, retrofitting, rebuilding and optimisation of the existing equipment, expendable materials and spare parts supply. The experts of our Company modernise the existing water treatment systems in power industry, metallurgy and chemical industry with the use of:

• high efficiency upstream counter current ion exchange resin regeneration (UPCORE and AIRCLEAN);
• ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis (SHARYA - systems);
• electrodeionisation;
• condensate polishing technology CONESEP;
• dissolved air flotation

What is more, the Company supplies high- quality materials for water treatment:

• Ion exchange resins DOWEX which have uniform particle size and are noted for their high operating capacity, excellent physical and osmotic stability which makes it possible to use them for cocurrent and countercurrent regeneration.
• Ion exchange resins GRANION are mutifunctional (including weak acid and basic), very economical and technologically efficient resins/
• Various effective granular filter media GRANOSIT used in pressure and gravity filter bed.
• Coagulation and flocculation agents for water clarification – BIFLOC.
• Corrosion and scale inhibitors, dispersants and biocides for cooling water cycles and boilers – AQUARESULT.

All the equipment, technologies and service level are in the act of constant being upgraded in order to suit all the customers' requirements.
